The Sermoonjoy Fellowship Fund is a fellowship that will make 2 awards of up to $5,000 to 2 midcareer actors for continued class training in order to maintain skills needed to work as an actor. Award must be utilized within one year’s time.

Eligibility requirements for this fellowship are:

• actors who work as professionals in theatre, television or film
• maintain an actors professional resume
  
• audition and/or work frequently
  
• members of Actors’ Equity Association or SAG/AFTRA in good standing
  

Candidates will be required to submit:

• application
• current professional resume
  
• detailed letter of intent for the funds (i.e. why there is need for the funds)
  
• literature or a letter from the individual or institution where the funds will be used explaining the training provided
  
• 2 letters of recommendation from industry professionals (i.e. agent, manager, director, another professional actor) who have worked with the candidate and will speak to the candidate's determination and integrity for receiving funds

The Fellowship is posted here at Sermoonjoy.org as well as at www.actorsfund.org under Services and Programs/Resources/Funding/California. The Sermoonjoy Fellowship committee will review all applications and select the recipients annually. Past Sermoonjoy Scholarship and Fellowship award recipients are not eligible. All awards are made payable directly to the businesses or institutions where training will take place by the California Community Foundation on behalf of The Sermoonjoy Fellowship Fund.
